The “txikiteros” have been doing all their life the same thing that nowadays is so fashionable in facebook or twitter. The “txikiteo” is a way of communication, leisure and entertainment. This form of socializing also has its customs, norms and rituals, and are mostly our elders who keep alive this social “network”.
This project sponsored by Lur Lan, reflects the spirit of The Balde and Getxophoto. We conducted a special photographic project that will be alive, and present in our day to day on the walls of bars, houses, shops, offices,... With the calendar, any wall becomes a photographic exhibition. The photos were taken in August 2011 in the streets of the old town of Bilbao.
Jose Javier Serrano a.k.a. Yosigo (1981) is a photographer from Donostia. With his way to choose objects, people, landscapes, composition, color..., has achieved what we call “a personal approach”. Author of several exhibitions and books, “0607”, “Kresala”, “Prater”, “Memory Map” among them. He has done covers prestigious magazines such as Colors, Wired or Homeland. |
